MALAS
A Mala is a mindfulness tool, used to keep count of how many times a mantra is repeated during meditation practice. A traditional mala is made of 108 beads, plus a guru bead.
108 is a “Harshad number”, a mathematical term that means it is divisible by the sum of its parts. The word “Harshad” comes from Sanskrit: “harsa” (joy) and “da” (give) – literally meaning “joy giver”.
All malas come in a magenta velvet bag with information about the crystals used in your mala and information about meditating with your mala.
